i have a family member (on my wife's side) who moved to nc yrs ago. at first, she liked nc (less traffic and crime, 4 seasons = compared to s fla) ... now, after living there for a few yrs, she is soooooo bored. she has no friends, locals dont really have many of the same interests that native floridian women have, she cant stand her job (which can happen anywhere of course), the ppl in her town are either rednecks or retirees (she's still young)and she is sooo bored. now, she talks about moving somewhere else, who knows, maybe she'd rather live back here in fla.

Everybody thinks that the next place is going to be better. I still think Florida is more diverse and has more things to do. If I had to choose all over again, I still would choose Florida. I think the Carolinas and Tn are pretty, but I wouldn't live there. You still can get a great price on a home here if you aren't looking to get the biggest house on the block.

We want to snowbird when we sell the house. I can't wait to go all over the place in Florida in our Motorhome!!!!! (when we sell the house we are buying a motorhome and property up north with a home)
