The Board renewed the Comcast bulk service agreement for my HOA for 10 years.

Fortunately just before the contract was signed the Board was persuaded to seek advice from a consultant. He advised that significant renewal incentives were available, in our case over $200,000, (these were not freely offered by Comcast) in addition a number of other free benefits were provided.

After the contract was signed a few snowbirds discovered that they would be better off dealing direct as their service could be put 'on vacation' at $6.75/month. We have now discovered that given the number of seasonal residents and their average length of stay the Association is paying more under the bulk agreement than a similar group of subscribers who deal direct with Comcast. This is clearly defeats the whole puropse of entering into the bulk agreement.

It is considered other HOA and Condominium Associations might be in the same position. May I through this forum request comments.

Perhaps a combined approach to Comcast might produce results?
