We are thinking of buying a house with a pool on a backyard. How much does itcost to maintain it and what would be a water bill?

You can maintain it yourself for a minimal cost. It is very easy especially if you buy an automatic vacuum (around $500).

Water bill is not bad. As long as the pool does not have a leak you only have to put water in every now and then in the winter. In the summer it rains enough to keep the pools filled.

I have found it depends on if it is a salt water pool, with or without heat pump (yes, some do in Florida).
My salt water pool use to cost me about $200 a mo to maintain it properly by myself although it was swam in daily. My fresh water pool cost me about $125-$150 a month.
Lol-I actually had a bird pick up a fish from my pond one time and, drop it coincidentally in my pool!! A catfish-found it stuck in one of the side drains.
it also depends on if you have a screen around your pool or not. My screened in porch definitely cost me less due to storm debris, etc..

We have a large pool, and 4 people (constantly doing laundry and running water).
Our water bill is about $100 monthly. Our pool service also runs around $100 monthly, and they
take care of absolutely everything from chemicals to cleaning weekly.
