I hope not either.

That would not be a good thing for this beautiful city.

Bad crime is what seperates New Orleans from Destin, Fl. Its unimaginable that Destin could ever get like N.O.'s ... its just too much like a slice of heaven with its culture, beautiful beaches, and nice locals.

New Orleans restaurants and bars who try to open an outpost eastward tend to have a very poor success rate. Commander's Palace, Camelia Grill, Pat O'Brien's, another restaurant by the Commander's Palace group, and Antoine's have come and gone. The only one that has lasted any length of time has been Kenny D's.

As for the city of Destin, there are some wonderful parts of the city, and there are also slums, often right next to each other. There's also a good amount of home-grown corruption.

Destin and New Orleans have about as much in common as Manhattan and Lubbock, Texas.

End of story.

Zero in common between the two locations except for a common usage of the central time zone. Not sure why anyone would even compare the two except to elicit a reaction from others.

I hope not, or I'll stop coming. There's a reason we all go to Destin not N.O. and it's not the seafood.
