And all I can say is "wow"! There sure are lots of folks posting here. ...Just curious what others do for a living? I am a district sales manager for a very large insurance company whose name rhymes with "quack, quack". :-)

Hi everybody. (wave)

Hi J'mo

I am somewhat new to the site also.
Yes there are allot of folks posting here. I take what I read with a grain of salt. There are allot of people that love living here and allot that are "unhappy".
I have been here 14 years and I love it.
My husband is in the computer field

We are a nice bunch here.. I have been in South FL for several years and LOVE it... obviously there are others who can't wait to get out. Pretty common in any part of the country.. nuthing usual.

About work, after working in Technology area for several years, I recently got out of the corporate world and started working on something I really like ie. Real Estate. Yes, I am a full time Realtor.

Default What area are you in?

South Florida is all your profile says. You in Miami, Ft Lauderdale??? what area do you work? I am a full time Realtor in the Tampa area. This board has proven very intersting on many aspects. I love hearing opinions the others have and reasons for moving. Most of which I have heard before, but some have proven interesting!

I'm a freelance writer... but I'd prefer to stay anonymous. I write for newspapers, magazines, etc.

I want to be a computer engineer with hardware, but can learn software like web designing and graphics. I could deal with coins as a hobby and to make a little extra on the side. I too am from south Florida and there is nothing except mobile/manufactored homes here thats in my affordable price range. I am not sure if ill stay here or move elsewhere such as Houston or south California(will have to get a mobile home there too) but the same jobs pay nearly double there! Will be able to retire sooner!
