We live in a small community. 1500 or fewer in Indiana and we are looking around St. Pete to live. Brooksville is the best we have found so far. But pop is larger than we would like. What is a small town we could look into. We are going down on
Spring Break to check out area. We have 5 children under 12
and are looking for GOOD SCHOOLS. LOW CRIME. Nice small town. PLEASE HELP!

Where will your job be?? Brooksville to St Pete would be a heck of a commute I'd think.....

Dade City. Near by. Have friends who moved there and like it alot. Schools, etc.

Citrus county is a little north of Brooksville. There is a thread about 6 or 7 pages back all about Citrus County. I wouldn't recommend raising children in Brooksville. Too many drugs that your kids might get mixed up in. It's just a bad town to live in. My husband lived there for 5 years and moved to Inverness. He said it was terrible. My brother in law still lives out there and he says the same thing.

Are U High?
Things are no different up in inverness than here in brooksville. Any school that uses FCAT to determine what u're child has learned in order to receive funding from big brother is a school not even concidering. Crime and drugs is worse in tampa, orlando, and the miami area. I live in this area since '93 and have lived up north and way out west. The winds of change are a blowin. Where ever u go, make sure u can obtain a conceal carry permit, and live in those states. Only then u will have a fair shake from the boogy man and big brother.

We live in a small community. 1500 or fewer in Indiana and we are looking around St. Pete to live. Brooksville is the best we have found so far. But pop is larger than we would like. What is a small town we could look into. We are going down on
Spring Break to check out area. We have 5 children under 12
