LOL

I love Christmas in Florida, too.......because of the friendly smiles, the fun activities, the beautiful lights, the parades, the music concerts in all the schools, the HS football playoffs, the special activities at the theme parks, the amazing giving that goes on in every community, the feeling of family you can have even if none of your real family lives here in the state, the not having to battle snow and wearing winter coats when Christmas Shopping, the beach at Christmas, even just having watermelon ready to harvest for our Christmas dinner right here in the state. Yep, I love Florida, too.

I am sure that all 50 states, every country, and every continent in the world except maybe Antarctica has their own Kooks and criminals, but maybe they just don't always make the news down here in paradise. There is just something about Florida that makes things that happen here newsworthy in the whole world.

I don't know. Texas may have Florida beat:

How the Grinch stole Christmas: Cowardly thief takes Texas family's dog and presents | Mail Online

And by the way, Texas has the proud distinction of being among the first places where "illegal butt injections" were noted in the news:

(8/11/03 - HOUSTON) — A transgender man charged with injecting industrial silicone into the bodies of men who wanted to look like women heads to court Monday. Guadalupe Camarena was arrested last week on charges of aggravated assault and serious bodily injury. Police believe Camarena injected 22-year-old Delfino Gonzales with silicone used in brake fluid, ultimately leading to his death. Investigators say Camarena charged between $200 and $400 per injection. Police are also investigating a similar death at the Spring Branch Medical Center to see if it can be tied to Camarena.

So, keep Hatin' Noodles, but next time try to do some research first, because it's ceasing to be amusing and turning into "sad" territory!

People only see what they want to see. For some there is no crime or trashy people in Texas.

Is there anywhere in Florida like a Colonial Williamsburg or Sturbridge Village that would have Christmas events? I know Key West has a house tour, but I am looking for something older. Maybe St. Augustine?

I have never been to Williamsburg.......

But have you ever been to EPCOT in December? The Candlelite Processional is a beautiful reading of the Christmas story from the Bible, with a choir and orchestra singing and playing christmas Carols-not Jingle Bells type music. They have storytellers in each of the countries to teach how Christmas is celebrated in different parts of the world. There are decorations and special fireworks for Christmas.

At Magic Kingdom they have special hard ticket Mickey's Very Merry Christmas party but they may be sold out. Christmas shows and Christmas parades with the Christmas Wishes fireworks.

Sea world does special shows for Christmas and has the Wild Arctic Ride converted into the Polar Express Experience. The theming is wonderful. The Santa inside the Wild Arctic is usually the best I have seen each year since they started having Polar Express.

I think Universal still does the Grinch that Stole Christmas theme at Christmas.

St. Augustine does do special things at Christmas

Have not ever been up there at Christmas but have friends that live there who would not miss doing a lot of the activities.

Yes it's called Logan Airport. As soon as our plane landed, that's when we got the Christmas spirit. Seriously though, WPB does a fake snow thing with wrapped palm trees. It might work for you.
