Hillsborough County for me. it's been a very close battle all my life choosing between the two. But Hillsborough Edges out BARELY! Safety/Entertainment gave Hillsborough the Edge. But NOT by far. I also think it's a better county for families, somewhat, although both counties seem to be more for the "Young Professional"

Hmmm, I would have to say Broward county, being that broward has about 500,000 more residents.

Hillsborough has over 1.2 million residents, while broward has 1.7 million residents.
Also, broward has better beaches (fort lauderdale, pompano, hollywood, dania, deerfield beaches are beautiful) better nightlife, closer proximity to Miami and palm beach, part of a larger more important region in florida as well.

broward is also more southerly and has milder winters and is more tropical looking..both the water and plants and trees (coconut palms more prevalent in broward)...

with that being said, IMO opinion broward has more to offer.
More diversity in broward as well, cost of living is prob higher though. econ is broward is prob just as good as Tampa's, if not better.

Broward has a lower unemployment rate currently that Hillsborough.

Broward has a different look and feel being South Florida, people are different more NY/NJ, think The Sopranos types.

I would say Broward is more costly.

Hard to vote on a poll like this as the criteria is conflicting.

Each county has lots to offer & there are things that are better in 1 county vs the other from 1 to the next.

The crime rate has actually gone up in Broward and dropped in Hillsborough substantially. A lot of spillover crime from Broward is coming into Palm Beach County, when caught most if not all are from Broward.

Crime rate drops slightly statewide and in Miami-Dade, rises in Broward - Florida - MiamiHerald.com
