The NYC CD forum has a "safety map" showing good and bad neighborhoods.

Is there a similar map for Florida? I'd settle for something as course-grained as a map of murder rates by county.

To get the best information I would suggest the FBI UCR but keep in mind that many areas of Florida are unincorporated parts of a county but will still have a close city as part of it's address. This would mean that a city like Brooksville, with a population of just over 8,000 in the city limits, would show a crime rate a little above the national average but 90% of the population that use Brooksville as an address are not within the city limits and have a much lower crime rate. Of course in some area the opposite may be true and the city has a low crime rate but surrounding areas have a higher rate.
