Yes, its population is fairly youthful.

Ft Lauderdale/Miami has many highrise condos, especially near the coast. Smaller cities will have fewer highrises though some beach cities are loaded with condos and hotels directly on the beach.

Orlando has year round residents and vacationers year round. Lots of homes and AC weather 9 months of the year.

Depends what kind of lifestyle you are looking for ...larger city/suburb or smaller town.

there is a start of another building boom with new contruction starting to move at a fast pace again.
You brought up a great point about the highrise condos! Remember seeing the roofs covered with ACs. Would rather target areas without so many highrises. Looking more for a suburb I think.

I would think Ft. Lauderdale/Miami being so populated would have the most jobs/work but cost of living is also high.

I check Indeed just about daily. The most jobs for "HVAC" seem to be Ft. Lauderdale,Miami,Tampa,Orlando areas.

Orlando has a good amount of jobs posted. What's the traffic like there with all the tourists? Cost of living? Things to do?

Traffic can be challenging, cost of living is moderate, too many things to do.

Jobs posted in what field??? It's fairly well documented the job market isn't the easiest in Orlando. You may see a number of jobs posted but bear in mind the competition for each position (especially full-time professional level/higher paying jobs), is very competitive...with at least several vying for one job. Traffic can be bad in areas and generally speaking the area road infrastructure is lacking. The cost of living to salary ratio is tilted for most in terms of lower pay versus disproportionately high living costs, particularly if renting. Things to do is about average for a metro area it's size in the Sunbelt region despite the presence of Disney, etc.

Fort Lauderdale! Young working population, beautiful beaches and gorgeous weather.

I've only lived in Miami and Tampa, but my choice would easily be Tampa. In Pinellas county, actually. St. Pete, Safety Harbor, and Dunedin are desirable to me.

The only place in Florida I would consider living in permanently is St Augustine.
