A little rain this morning... Beautiful out right now as I'm having lunch right on the water. I'm enjoying it while I can because it won't last.

hi guys few pages ago I read that hurricanes rarely hit Tampa area, or rather the last one that hit was in the 1920s but you never know next one might hit soon or in another 30 years. So just exactly how far from Tampa can I look for houses that won't be affected by hurricanes? radius of 20 miles? 25?

also this guy said that FL got more tornadoes than any other states and for tornadoes you get very little warning, actually how long of warning do you get before it hit your area? and for hurricanes you get days so you can prepare a lot better is that right. how expensive is the tornado/hurricane coverage for your houses? thanks

Here is a map of all hurricanes since 1851. Basically if you want to be 100% sure you will not be affected you can move to Wisconsin.

There are more tornadoes here than anywhere but they are nowhere near the intensity of those you typically get in tornado alley. They can still cause damage it is just not as often that they do.

Love the rain.....other than the local areas flooding, and some of the hassles with driving (and unfortunate car accidents that seem to come w/ this weather) is there any reasons why this quality h20 is a bad thing - seems like the water reserves, water tables, etc are being replenished - is there more sink hole activity with this h20?
