I'll be relocating to Lake Mary and if you have any good advice I would like to hear it. I basically would like to rent (and eventually own) a home with at least 2 bedrooms and at least 1.5 bathrooms, and a garage. I hear traffic can be a nightmare. How's the crime and should you have some feeling of paranoia in respect to crime? Thanks.

This is a real estate agent being honest.

It's a nice area and traffic is only bad on Lake Mary Blvd and I-4 during rush hours (nearly ALL of I-4 is bad this time). Just don't buy a house until you're POSITIVE the market has hit bottom (and you like FL and the area), and it's far from that right now. Rent there for a year or two and you'll realize it's one of the best areas in Orlando, and prices should be much better as well.

I am considering relocating to Lake Mary, FL also from NY and wondering how the community and area is. I have heard all good things. How are the schools and most importantly the job market?
