For those who live in Florida.... are the schools really as bad as they say? My SO wants to move us there from NE Indiana but the Early Intervention and schools seem far superior here...and the winters don't bother me. I have a feeling that if we move to Florida, we will be shooting ourselves in the foot...

If you check the more recent statistics, no, FL schools overall are not poorly rated. You will certainly find schools with lower scores than others in any particular area.

The most important thing is jobs. If the jobs you do are in demand and pay a decent salary then further study may be warranted.

If I had kids now (already college aged) I would never put them in a public school in florida. The only thing they would learn is how to take a standardized test .

In 2005 we moved to Florida because of the weather. In 2010 we moved out of Florida because of the weather.

OP, you have posted many threads along the same lines, now. We have advised you to STAY PUT! Why don't you just show some of the answers to your husband? Based on all your previous postings, this is not the place for you and your family.
