And be sure to give a "conspiracy theory" label to that which you don't agree. Did everyone know that a century ago, eugenics was once "settled science"? Appendix 1 of Crichton's excellent book is entitled "Why Politicized Science is Dangerous" and uses this as an example.

As soon as people start flinging around terms like "right wing" and "conspiracy", you can pretty well bet we're dealing with a politicized issue.

Now, if you're truly concerned about global warming, please consider that war and military actions all over the planet generate a lot of heat, not to mention massive pollution.

Now, getting back to FLORIDA, and whether or not it is the canary in the coal mine, is it? Here's how you'll know. When the water comes in with a storm and doesn't go out again. And even then, that could be due to erosion, where the shoreline gets eaten away, but deposited in another area.

Well, I'm still waiting for someone to answer my question in the Tampa forum how a system comes from the Northwest and gets labelled a tropical system. Sure, there's lots of rain and wind, but it doesn't have that intense humidity like after the usual tropical storms.

Is there a global warming situation, or is this a Florida warming situation? Definitely the summers seem to be starting earlier and lasting longer, ever since I've moved here. And yet, my relatives up in New England tell me they had a very late spring and were wearing heavier clothing pretty much all the way through May. And right now they are experiencing lower temps than normal. So what we experience here, does not seem to be experienced nationally, let alone globally.

Pacing about 8 inches over 100 years. When you start declaring massive sea level rise, 6 feet, we are all underwater and our kids are screwed... you are venturing off into religion and politics. You will notice on the graph it's not accelerating, there is no J-curve. We were supposed to be accelerating out of control already... it's not happening. It's linear and slow.

See here's the thing. EVERYONE recognizes the sea level is rising. Everyone recognizes climate does change. The debate is how much humans have an effect on it, if anything at all.

I was at the Discovery and Science museum yesterday. It was interesting that one exhibit shows what Florida looked like in the past... covered in water!!!

Will Florida go underwater again someday? Sure, probably, maybe... Is it going to happen in 10 years or even anytime soon due to the US backing out of the Climate Agreement? Probably... not.

I don't know how you can say that. I've lived on the Florida coast in various cities for over thirty years and I can tell you that there is definitely an affect. Florida municipalities are discussing dealing with increased flooding and anyone who has ever been to a county commission meeting will see that beach erosion and beach renourishment is a constant issue now rather than one that is brought up only after storms.

Beach erosion and rising seas is not necessarily related. Beaches erode for a variety of reasons. As I said, you indicated that "everyone who lives her can see the seas rising" but I think that sounds ridiculous. They don't appear to be rising to me in any meaningful way and NOAA data makes it clear they are not.

It's kind of funny that you can't see the obvious. Did you consider why this "right wing conspiracy" site so openly shows a graph with sea levels rising?

The argument isn't that sea levels are rising. It's pointing out that the vociferous global warming fanatics claims that we are accelerating climate change and all going to die soon are nothing but alarmism. Sure, seas are rising, but look, it even stopped for a couple of years and there isn't yet any real data that shows some massive increase in sea level rise. Instead, it shows that's rising at the same VERY slow level that's been rising for a very long time.

If alarmists were right, wouldn't you expect to see the graphs getting increasingly sharper upward trends? Why is it that it's so very linear when Al Gore and government paid scientists keep telling us it's getting so bad that we should already be underwater.... Lol. They are just wrong over and over and over and people like you keep following along like some sort of religion.

Lake Tahoe is completely full and they are STILL skiing all the way in July.

This is why the global warming crowd changed it to simply "climate change" - that way they can blame every single piece of weather on climate change and demand more money to research it.
