I have seen/heard a number of comments regarding South Florida’s inferior medical services, i.e. supposedly physicians are not as qualified, facilities are not as modern as compared to those in major metropolitan areas of the East Coast.

Those of you who have lived in South Florida for some time, what is your response to that?

Also Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. Shands, Moffitt for cancer, and Mayo are the 3 best hospitals in the state.

Actually it's the Mayo Clinic-Jacksonville at #1, Tampa General Hospital and UF-Shands Gainesville tied at #2 and then the Cleveland Clinic in Weston at #3. https://health.usnews.com/best-hospitals/area/fl

So the good doctors and bad doctors are segregated accordingly?

This is not true. Mayo Clinic hires top notch talent and they have cutting edge research and clinical trials. So do the other top hospitals on the lists. Plenty of their talent rather work in Florida or Arizona than freeze in Minnesota.

I live in S Fl since 1988, and I find that The Health Services are Excellent throught the SE part of The State where I have used the said services many times in the past.

Baptist WesT Kendall is under 2 mls from me, and my Primary Physician has his Offices there, when necessary and I have needed to see Specialists, the Web of those Physicians it's extremelly easy to navigate thru.

Happy in SW Miami.
