There's something seriously wrong with how you process information.

Another one.

Is anyone keeping track of all the cases. We need some kind of database.

If it looks like you're seeing more reports about carnivorous bacteria, you really are. The number of cases has increased, although only slightly. And scientists have begun to point out an increasingly familiar cause: climate change.

The trend is likely to continue due to the constant warming of temperatures in the Gulf of Mexico, which provides a "breeding ground" for the bacteria, said Dr. Sally Alrabaa, an infectious disease specialist at USF Health and Tampa General Hospital.

"It is by no means an epidemic, but we are seeing more cases this year," he said. "As the water heats up, a few more degrees every year, bacteria bloom for longer periods."

The way you know to pay attention to a post is when Politics is left out of it. The facts show a common problem for centuries and not unique to Fl at all.

Well it appears we have a chicken little among us.... and that's OK. Our role is to put facts in front of fear, solutions before condemnation, improvement instead of abandonment.

long read but moving ahead with some updated plans.... thank you Gov. DeSantis for pushing so hard for Florida.

The Chesapeake Bay has a problem with menhaden fish kills, a few years ago, millions of the fish died. I believe they had fish kills last year and this year as well. Warmer temperatures and excess nutrients play a role in the lower oxygen levels in the water.

Warmer and more volatile temperatures is having an affect globally. I believe Paris was 104 degrees a day or two ago. Records were broken all over Northern Europe. The gulf, Lake O. and the lagoons on the east coast are where we see the affects. But yeah, everywhere is being effected.

The water is getting worse everywhere. Only took a 100 years to get to where we are and not many years left to go before the big die off comes.
