Raining hard in West Kendall, strong thunderstorms with winds, the clouds unraveled about 30 minutes ago.

Sanibel weather today, raining cats and dogs. The resort I'm at has a lot of standing water, it's still very windy. A tall palm tree split in half and fell down too. I was going to leave the island to go to Ft Myers about 7 pm tonight, I didn't want to chance driving in the pouring rain and wind, especially while crossing the causeway. Lots of waves on the gulf, we are on the east end of the island facing Ft Myers Beach.

Lots of rain here overnight into the early morning.
A newspaper box thing fell over. That's about all I've seen so far.

Excellent wishes but with 4.5 months left of the Hurricane Season, Elsa fer sure will not be alone in the Summer Scene, Part of August and September are always the Barnburners
