I've never done the entire state in one trip, but have lived in FL for a decade and have hit most of the state except the Panhandle region. Jacksonville has some nice beaches that I enjoyed. Loved the Keys -reminded me of my years in Hawaii a little. St Petersburg (my area) is a decent area to visit.....have a safe trip.

I have a small RV, self=contained, so other than stopping for gas, I could do your trip sans-Corona without any problems.
Thank you for the tip. I have fresh water gear but I should pick up some salt water gear.

Maybe they will be open by the time I get to that point.

I would wait a little longer though, simply to allow enough businesses to open up.
Shills with an agenda? LOL Your tin foil hat is on a bit too tight I believe. The last two days were among the highest death counts since the outbreak. There's no fear or control of those too dim to notice so go about business as usual. You'll be fine!

Immigration is your boiling point at the moment? You really do have some issues.

Brody, it's not some areas or some towns in the Keys....the entire Keys are closed to visitors
...there's a road block at the county line...on both roads
Only residents or people with a work permit are allowed into Monroe county

...the lastest bulletin said it would be up until the end of May...and might be extended past that depending

Thank you. If the Keys are blocked by the time I get there, I will just bypass that part.

I'd wait. The keys are one of the best parts. Why not do a few day trips till things normalize.

Perhaps you should educate yourself on Illegal Immigration and the United States. Better yet Google it and you might learn something new?

There's a road sign on the 4 lane highway at Pensacola saying Clearwater is 425 miles.

And if you got to Clearwater, you're just getting started good. Naples is 170 miles and Miami is another 130 miles. Key west is 320 miles round trip from Miami. Miami to Jacksonville is 350 miles.

So you're talking a trip of almost 1400 miles.

If you start in Pensacola, heading Eastward, there's nothing to see after Apalachicola, all the way down to Cedar Key. I've driven it all, but not in a single trip. Over a 35 year time span.

Humans have messed up most of coastal Florida. IMHO, the only positive thing we did is build roads, & bridges to make getting around easier.

The biggest mistakes humans made was building way too close to the water, and allowing building's in excess of 3 story's; one right next to the other, so you can't even see the water from the road.
