Worst - The Homeowners Insurance Crisis

Best - I spend yesterday morning -Dec. 31st (and could have spent most mornings in 2006 if I didn't have to still do something called 'work') sitting by the pool dressed in shorts, tank top and barefoot having breakfast and enjoying the breeze rustle through the trees, the sounds of the birds singing and the movement of the water. It was so peaceful and reminded me that even though Florida has it issues right now - it is a great place to live.

I pray that for 2007, we can find a way to deal with the problems of raising taxes, insurance and inflated home costs.

Yes, I agree. They did predict for 2007 though that it should be a very active hurricane season. That's what they said for 2006. Hope they are wrong again for all the people living in Florida.

CSU Scientists Release 2007 Hurricane Predictions

(Aired 12-08-06)

Scientists at Colorado State University said the 2007 Atlantic Hurricane Season will be busier-than-average.

They said to expect 14 tropical storms, with seven strengthening into hurricanes. They also said of those seven hurricanes, three are expected to become intense storms with winds over 100 miles-per-hour. CSU researchers said there will be more activity this year than last year.

The hurricane season starts June 1st and ends in November.

Dateline NBC2 brought its To Catch a Predator sting to Fort Myers,(found out the freaks are worse here than any other State ) Sanibel saw it's first murder in 20 years and an infant was kidnapped at knifepoint. no area was without a murder this year. tornadoes replaced hurricanes.
