I think the first wave of clearing Ian damage has peaked- saw a couple of convoys of bucket and tree trucks heading westward on I-10 near Pensacola today.

I had to go down to Sarasota on Saturday for a soccer game. I-75 was jam packed with line crew trucks and emergency response vehicles, but traffic was flowing.

They're all over here, too. Traffic, but it's a good kind of traffic, IMO. I'm very happy to see them.

Interesting article that speaks to the need to be very careful during hurricane clean-up-

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-63309246

Quote:
The Florida county that was devastated by Hurricane Ian last month has seen a surge in cases of flesh-eating bacteria illnesses and deaths.
Officials say Lee County, where the category four storm made landfall on 28 September, has recorded 29 illnesses and four deaths owing to the bacteria.
All but two cases were diagnosed after the hurricane.
Vibrio vulnificus infections can be caused after bacteria enters the body through open cuts.

Looks like you ain't the only one who is dry! This will be the next excuse for supply chain shortages and grocery price hikes (meanwhile, record profits for corporations will continue)!
