richkat- I live in the Pacific NW (Seattle) right now, and I'm one of THOSE who came from So. Cal. originally. I didn't admit that for a looong time! And now, I'm trying to find a more affordable place for my family and I. (Considering TN, N/C, or Florida). Funny how we all move along and do that! You've gotta wonder, where do we go next (or our kids )? All that will be left is the mid-west. And I can't do tornadoes, so count me out on that one!

Default The moon??

Wow... I wonder what happened to the moon real estate that was being sold. At first I thought it was hilarious/off the wall when it came out on the news...but who knows? Just kidding of course (I think?).

Humans have been traveling/migrating throughout the earth for 10,000 yrs in search of the same things we are now (read it at a National Geographic years ago)... and it's not going to stop. Wonder where the human race will end up. Glad we won't be here. I think we are all lucky to have time on our side, to search for something that accomodates us.

Default Not Just Florida!

The little town I grew up in here in Western Massachusetts is just as bad! The people from the urban areas are moving out to the country for the peace and quiet, but now they all the conveniences of city life! Hence, our taxes are going through the roof! That's one reason I am selling the house I grew up in and moving to Floride! I am disabled and can't take the winters here, so I just want a quiet place to relax and hopefully a small boat to do some fishing!
Like it says in the song by The Eagles! Just call a place Paradise, and kiss it goodbye!
D

You know, I opened the Home section in the Sunday paper here Miami & you would not believe the realty ads to buy land in North Carolina, Georgia & and now Wyoming of all places - even acreage for practically nothing. They all advertise with.."no hurricanes here! ..." I don't know I guess that should do it??? Suddenly S. FL looks like heaven, sheeesh...

Nothing...you should see mine when I come out of winter hibernation.

When I go to the beach for the first time in the season, I usually go real early when there is nobody there to get a little color. It's like a sneaky beach trip.

I'm from the upper midwest and it actually has it's pluses. Wide open spaces, low real estate, plenty of jobs, friendly people, etc. It probably wouldn't be the tornadoes that'd make you want to pack up and move though. It's the frigid, cold winters and all the snow that a lot of us are getting tired of.

Unhappy White legs

this is so funny! they don't like white legs and then they also don't like 'color' legs.....we all strive to be different than what we are and at the same time don't like anyone who is really different than us!!
