Hi everyone,

We have a mosquito problem in our 1.5 acre yard. It's heavily covered in palmetto and trees, and we have large ponds that are filled with fish that eat mosquito larvae.

We cannot go in the shady areas or we'll be eaten alive. Because we have a natural Florida yard that is so shrub-covered, I am not sure it's possible to remove standing water from all the potential spots. We are getting a bat house, but in the meantime we are also looking at mosquito traps.

I am trying to avoid a propane-powered system. I have narrowed down to one I do like, but I think admin didn't like me using the brand name (I tried in a prior post that was deleted) so I will not mention it. I would love some advice on what works/doesn't work in this area but perhaps you will need to PM me if mentioning a brand name? Don't know how particular the admins are on this.

Anyone use a mosquito lure like this? What tips do you have? I hear that you need to know what kind of mosquitos you have in order to lure them best. I believe ours are mostly Asian tiger variety (black/white striped). Also I hear that different types of baits work better/worse in different regions of the country.
