This one is for all the full-time Floridians. If you won the Florida lottery... well, that may not quite do... all right, if you crossed into Georgia and bought a jack-pot winning Mega Million ticket, where would you rather spend the summer?

My favorite place on the planet is Sanibel and Captiva Island off the coast of Fort Myers. If money was not a consideration, I would own a house there and probably only leave when they have their shell festival and it becomes overrun with tourists.

I have no need to leave, I LOVE Florida.

This poll is set to run through 10-15-2009. That date is well after 01-20-2009.

Why summer? If I went back to LI in the summer, I would still have year round summer. I don't want year round summer. I could spend the summer there now since I am off from work all summer. I would opt to go back year round. If not that, then what I am doing now; visiting in the Fall and Winter.

I don't mind Florida summers at all. However, if given the opportunity to spend the summer in a different location, I voted Coastal New England. I'm originally from NY, but I particularly love Mystic, Boston & Sturbridge. I would also definitely like to be able to spend time in Maine, Rhode Island, and Cape Cod & Nantucket and the like.

My runner-up would have to be Northern California.

I'd like to go to New Mexico to see 3 of my boys and families. Right now I'm fussin with this new to me digital camera, and learning how to post pictures to send with my e-mails. The youngest wouldn't believe all the plowing going on back of Botanical Gardens. He use to 4-wheel it, in those once a time woods.
