I almost went into shock today when I went outside. I had on a jacket but it still wasn't enough. I'm now trying to decide between two bad options: a) driving the van all the way down to Key West b) trying to book cheap flight to Puerto Rico at the last minute until this front passes and we have normal weather again.

You dont own a home so just fill up the tank in the van and drive down to the Keys and you should be fine.

I am thoroughly enjoying this "cold" front. ROFL I actually was able to wear LONG SLEEVES today.

I wonder how many people I will see tomorrow morning, when it's supposed to be in the high 40s, still trying to wear their shorts and flips flops? Hell, when I went to an Everblades game last week, there were people there in the ICE RINK still trying to wear their shorts and flip flip flops. Come on people, there is a reason it's called an ICE rink, as in ice MELTS if it is 80 degrees. Duh? Some people are nuts. What can I say.

It's been in the 30's and snowing all day here in Pittsburgh. I went out for a refreshing jog this morning and was sweating by the time I was done. I'm so glad I got out of Florida away from all the cold-weather wimps like that Moderator cut: name ...I mean person.

but I am going home to NY for Thanksgiving. I just hope they don't have a warm front. I do remember some Thanksgivings where it got to around 60 degrees (booo).

Incidentially, my Dad was a longshoreman. In the winter he always wore about 3 layers of clothing. When he had to do physical labor in cold temps and started to sweat, he would take off his outer layer of clothing. It's not good to sweat wearing too much clothing in cold weather. Layer and take it off when you start sweating. Dad never got sick working outside in all kinds of weather.

Enjoy the NICE temperatures.

Holy cold front batman, I almost froze my posterior off. I am actually wearing a sweat suit as I type. I however couldn't bring myself to put on real shoes, just sandals.

Default Cold front........love it.

The coolness as I walked out the door this AM was sooo refreshing, long pants and a sweater, it can stay like this through March and I'd be happy, now if only we could get a little white stuff......after the last cold front and then the warmup I have a nice cold, watery eyes, cough.......get more cold air over here to clear out those nasty germs........wha hoo for the cold

Sigh. It's been nice Florida! But it's just too cold here. I'm moving to Barbados where they have a normal climate.

It's best not to go outside at all, unless absolutely necessary. But if you have to, take the necessary precautions.
