GypsyChic knows what she is talking about. I don't know how far past Sarasota going south that the wages drop off, but they absolutely do and in a very big way. Stay out of the Ft. Myers, Lehigh Acres, and Cape Coral areas as well. Very low pay. Very high cost of real estate. Try Tampa Bay. Good luck!

Someone said on here Geico in Lakeland does not pay well. It is so hard here in Upstate NY to get a good job here as market is flooded with people laid off
from Kodak. I'm looking at Florida, because I love it there. What companies if anyone is familiar with should I be targeting and where are they located? I've looked at Monster, Hotjobs and don't see too many good jobs on here. Thanks for all your assistance. God BLess.
I would say Verizon however not wireless, but land line. You also could check out cingular which now is AT&T they both have web sites which you could go to. In tampa liberty Mutual often has jobs it a call center, as does medco. they all should have a web site with posting. Disney is always looking for help, however they have a big turn-over and low pay. I just though in new tamap USSA has a call center and just had a job fair looking for help. They seem to be a good company. they also have a web site with job postings.

Ah, yes. I mentioned Alltel in the last thread, they are very big for promoting from within as long as you pay your dues. You can make a good living. I have heard USAA is a good place to work too. Welcome to the call capitol of the south, Tampa.
