Those living in rural areas, is this a common occurrence? To get 'gators in your pool, or at least creeks etc on your property. Suppose these days most pools have fences. Still would be pretty cool.

Can't remember hearing about it happening in these parts. Unless you're very lax with pool care, it's not an attractive environment. Gators want to be in a place where they think they've got both ample prey and a murky water to make it easier to set up ambushes of ample prey. The typical crystal clear pool is just too exposed for them under most circumstances.

Common? No. But it does happen sometimes, especially during droughts when there is more competition for ponds.

Uhhh...not cool to have a gator in the pool; if they come through your pool cage, next thing you know they're in your kitchen eating your dog.
