If I could bring Destin-Ft Walton down the the gulf side around Tampa that is where I would be.

Love the gulf side so it would have to be somewhere close.

I had a choice to move anywhere and our choice was having luxury of picking any town anywhere.

Our decision was based on many factors.

Schools, crimes, clean, upper scale homes, not too far from the ocean, not too far from Disney, not too far from antiques.

We can go any direction and be at one of those places in little time.

Like to be closer to the ocean but have to give up a bit to live in the community I live in which is one of the best in the state.

DeFuniak Springs, great location out of the rat race yet still conveniently located to much of the southeast ,still retains some of that old Florida charm, great fishing and diving in the local lakes, close to the panhandle beaches, and the name sounds cool,

In an old house with Old Florida landscaping in Coconut Grove or Coral Gables.

Foxe Chase in Delray, but in a smaller house than what is the norm there.

Somewhere with big oak , cypress and pine trees where they haven't drained all the wetlands and put in sod and ficus hedges.

Merrit Island or Manalapan. Maybe Emeralda Island near the folks who have llamas.

On stilts in the middle of the Bay or the Glades

The Keys. Never been there, but my hunch is that there's The Keys, and then there's Florida. Just like there's New Orleans, and then there's Louisiana.

I agree. We had our choice of places to relocate to and we chose the Tampa area two and a half years ago. It's been a wonderful two and half years here and I really cannot imagine anyplace being much better for us.

Hands-down I'd choose Mt. Dora. Love that town & dig the rolling hills in that part of the state.
