Definitely Boca Raton. Low crime rate and near the ocean.

Siesta Keys or Anna Maria Island.

Or maybe beside On Da Beach in the panhandle if he has not bought up all the good property yet!

I am hoping someday we can find one of these places everyone is posting about.
After reading so much negativity and being scared to take a second look into moving to Florida, this thread has revived my desire to look much closer into the areas that fits my family.

Well, we fortunately already live in an area I consider paradise, but if we had a few more $$$ we would live somewhere on Anna Maria Island - I love that place to death! There is nowhere else in the country that I have seen that I love more. But at least we are close enough to go any time we want, so that's not bad at all!

Dommerich Estates or Maitland Isles (they're across the street from one another) in Maitland, FL. Waterfront property of course on either Lake Minnehaha or Lake Maitland (they connect through a canal under Horatio)

otherwise Heathrow or Alaqua

Bit of a toss-up. I like the homes better in Maitland and its more centralized but Heathrow area would be a bigger place for similar prices and closer access to the cross-seminole trail which I would obviously have the funds to ride whenever I wanted on a very very nice bicycle.
