Hi! I'm Simone and I'm moving to Florida in a few months to attend Saint Leo University. I've never even heard of Saint Leo and I want to visit there but it's hard when there's little money. I'm going to college solely on scholarships. I would go in state but if I can't get away from my family I swear I'll go crazy. Besides, I have family in Florida (they haven't heard of Saint Leo either). Just wondering, have any of you lovely people heard of Saint Leo? If you have, what can you tell me about the area? I greatly apreciate any input.

Actually, Saint Leo isn't too far from where we are. We took a drive up there once to tour this wonderful golf course community nearby. We loved that neighborhood but Saint Leo itself was pretty quiet - at least for us. But probably not a bad place to go to school plus you can get to Tampa, the beaches, and Orlando if you're inclined.

Default Saint Leo

Saint Leo is a great school. It is small and everyone is really friendly. The faculty is really helpful and takes the time to work with you. Good choice for school. The town is really small, not much to do. about 30 minutes from Tampa, an hour from Clearwater. But, the students get together and go to Ybor City or just get together and have fun. Good Luck

The town of St. Leo is pretty much the school. It's in-between San Antonio (typical small town) and Dade City (county seat, bigger than San Antonio). I don't think there's much in the immediate neighborhood, but there are stores in Dade City. Like one of the other posters said, you'd be close to Tampa, St. Pete, and the beaches for weekend activities.
