Hahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!

No really, I'm sorry, I just thought the question was kind of funny. Weston is a paved swamp. You literally cross Alligator Alley and it's the everglades. It crests to an amazing peak of 10 feet above sea level and under that, you have an aquifer. All of the houses here are on a slab. So no, you will not find a basement here. In fact, you will not find a basement anywhere in South FL except for limited sections of Miami in the Brickell area and maybe coastal (like literally on the beach) Palm Beach County (go figure).

Alligator Alley aka I-75. I-75 connects Ft.Lauderdale to Naples

Nicenewman - So you know many places in South Florida if you dig 1ft into the ground you hit coral rock, then if you drill another 1 ft-2 ft you hit water. So this is why we don't have basements. I love watching those landscaping shows from up north, its so easy for them to dig into the ground. I bought a small plant last spring, it took us about 2 hours to dig a hole 1.5 foot wide and 2.5 ft. deep because of the coral (see most of South Florida was under water years ago and so we now sit on coral rock). Hard work here.

There's pretty much basements everywhere in South Florida (sans Weston).
