It has been hot in Miami, since last May 06, we only turned our a/c off for about two months Feb and March for the most part. Which isn't good, because it means things like mosquitos will be bad this year, since it hasn't gotten cold long enough to kill them. They have already started in my area in Miami.

I see I am not the only Florida native, or resident who is SICK of the weather here. Thats why I'm buying a house in a northern state to escape at least half the year. Does that make me a sweatbird as opposed to a snowbird? If you want to know exactly what hell is like, see what happens when your car air conditioner breaks! OhMyGod.

I agree I wish I could snowbird and leave in May. I had someone on these threads (which will remain nameless) that told people June, July and August our the best months in South Florida and December, January and February are the worst. I laughed so hard and told all my friends about this nut job.

I got to ask, why do we complain about something that we can control?

Enjoy what we have, other are having a worst time than us. What can you do to enjoy the weather might be a better question...

The humidity in FL is the only thing that makes me wary about it. I'm considering relocating there, as my brother lives in Jupiter and surrounding cities seem to have good job opportunities. But I get stuffed up and it's hard to breathe here, so FL humidity could only make that worse.

But, I've lived in OH 22 years and don't know that I can stand another year of not being able to do what I want to do because the roads are closed for snow and I'll actually get a ticket if I'm out on them. Humidity and decent weather elsewise seems like a decent trade.

I'm leaving in a few weeks to spend the summer in the NC mountains! I'll be back at the end of October, right after the leaves turn!
