Hello, we have a German Shepard doggie and I am wondering, where are the beaches that allow dogs?
I have read a few posts that mention dog beaches, but where are they?

Thanks,
Jen

I get this question quite a bit, I should probably add a "dog friendly" designation to my database so people can search for dog friendly beaches.

We usually take our dogs to Smyrna Dunes Park, in New Smyrna Beach. Here is the information I have on it...

So, is Flagler beach dog friendly? On of the sites mentioned it. Do you need to have your dog on a leash at all times?

You have to go to Paw beach at Fort Dosoto. It is great. I have 2 dogs and the dogs love it and so do we. It is beautiful and fun. Close to the Sunshine Sky bridge.

On flagler you can take dogs north of N. 10th street and south of s. 10th street. They are supposed to be leashed but I see them running loose- but supervised all the time.

Also, north of Marineland is Matanzas beach- dogs are permitted there as well.

Cape San Blas, in the FL Panhandle, was ranked the number 1 pet friendly beach in the USA last year! A beautiful, uncrowded, white sand beach with no highrise condos, no traffic or commercialism! A great place to take your dog(s)! It even has restaurants where you can dine on the porches with your pooch!

You can learn more about Cape San Blas (and our pet friendly rentals) by clicking the link (Cape San Blas Vacation Rentals in Barrier Dunes.* Cape San Blas, FL. Best Pet Friendly Beach) . Don't miss the 3 different menus on the left of the website for lots of information and pictures!
