New Floridian looking for the beaches with palm trees. I am in South Fl. but willing to travel for family weekends to nice beaches. Sofarwe havebeen to Hollywood Beach, Cocoa Beach, South Beach-- liked tham all but I want to try a beach with trees!

My wife and I went for a day to Dania Beach and sat under a palm tree right off of a public parking/access. There were several up near the parking areas, but still fully in the sand. Not ideal, but its close to SoBe and Hollywood.

Trees on the beaches are hard to find on the East coast. Waves take out the trees even on the dunes when we have storms.

Probably Key West is your only option, you might see a few on Hollywood beach, I did years ago but they probably got knocked out after Wilma.

Your best bet to find a beach with a lot of trees is the Gulf Coast. Anna Maria and Ft Desoto come to mind.

Sanibel used to have trees and a rustic atmosphere but that was before the hurricane. Check it out, though.

^^^The Keys actually don't have that many beaches, most of the beaches are man made by the hotels they are situated in front of.
