Any creative ideas? Not referring to foods that are made stovetop/baked then refridgerated, but things that are usually baked/eaten warm but can be turned into delicious desserts or appetizers without turning your stomach.

I tried a cold vege lasagna, used thinned, highly flavoured sauce so it was the right consistency when it was cold, veges you use in potato salad, marinated olives and red onions, with overcooked pasta. Tasted good but somehow wasn't really satisfied. Need to try that again.

Put steamed veges (broccoli, peas etc) and flavoured cheese paste into pastry puffs and served chilled -yummy. I flavoured the pastry so it wasn't bland when cold.

Made cold flavoured cheesecake butter cookie sandwichs-excellent, must do that again. Did vanilla cupcakes with crumbled cookie and melted chocolate filling ..realy good cold.

Anyone here tried something weird?

I have used the following for appetizers....serve at room temp though, not cold.

Quiche, cut into small squares
Spanakopita (Greek spinach pie with feta), also cut into small squares
Pizza does work great, cut into squares or strips

Corn bread with tasty ingredients (cheese, bacon, sour cream, jalapenos) that is baked in a 8x8 pan....cut into squares too.

Endless list! My favorite recipe/cooking site: allrecipes.com

How about mini pies, like tarts, pumpkin, pecan. Mini cheese cakes could be done the same way. You could use those little candy papers to hold them, I've seem those at Michael's.

I used to make my homemade baked mac& cheese recipe in a large glass baking dish, then refrigerate overnight. Then before serving I cut it into small squares and served cold as appetizers on a tray with grape tomatoes, red pepper strips and dip.

I love cold Pizza, cold pasta with red sauce or pesto. Hamburgers or meatloaf I will also eat cold, even mac and cheese and a fried chicken cutlet. Chinese food left over is great cold.
