I located to Las Vegas about 6 months ago from Orlando, FL. I used to work at a grocery store (for those who don't know it) called Publix and they had THEE BEST subs I had ever eaten. And I find myself craving a Publix roast beef sub every day. Id like to have my parents ship me two of them for Christmas
If my parents were to go to the store and order them fresh, how would they be able to ship them to me without them spoiling? I would want it overnighted of course, and have them freeze them solid the day before it is to be shipped
Can the subs be frozen and be overnight shipped to Las Vegas before they spoil?
Dry ice is your best bet. I've had shrimp sent to me fron La. and it still had dry ice in it. I wouldn't have them put lettuce or tomato on them, just plain and you can dress it the way you want.
Are you kidding? I am sure there is a deli sandwich shop somewhere in Vegas that can satisfy your craving. Hit the Vegas boards they will help you out.
Why don't you just find out what brand of meat they used and the type of bread. Most supermarket deli's use the same brands of deli meats across the country. With some slight variations. I bet they use Boars Head meats and cheeses.

I have yet to find a good sub place in Vegas....nothing has been as good as publix subs
Yes, it's Boar's Head. Yes, don't put dressing or fresh lettuce or tomato on it. Yes, if you're going to ship, folks would have to use dry ice to preserve, and they, the sandwiches, wouldn't be the same. And the cost would be just rediculous for a mediocre sandwich.
Besides, I'm from NY/NJ metro area, been out west, with sourdough bread, Chicago area, etc., and believe me, Publix subs are ok for down here, but nothing compared to other parts of the country.
You need to find some good bread. That's the key. You can find all the same kinds of meat & cheeses, if not more selections (some aren't found here that are in other parts of the country, especially italian meats), and make your own. Then start handing out samples.
If as you say you can't find good one's there, you'll corner the market.
Or.....visit some online bakery sites from NY or SF, find what you like, then tell the folks what you want and have them order & ship to you for Christmas. Then make your own.
I had a publix american sub for lunch the other day, after going to publix for subs i'd never go to a subway again.
