I'm making chicken marsala. Part of the process is dredging the chicken in flour before putting it into the oil.

HOWEVER!

It appears that I've misplaced the flour... or neglected to take it when we moved to this house. URGH!

1. Is there a substitute that I can use?
2. Should I just skip that dredging step?
3. Should I wait until tomorrow when I can get to the store and buy flour?

Glad I could help. This is one of my favorite recipes. I usually substitute half and half for the cream, to save a few calories.

Well, it turns out that chicken marsala is happening for tomorrow's dinner, not tonight's. I'm still not going to get flour, though -- I'm definitely using this new-for-me recipe.
