Well, you all know that I can't really "rant" about this place, I LOVE It. Lot's of great stuff at TJ's, and the beer is an extra special treat. (BTW, the Winter Ale beer is one of my favorites. Not the one in a big bottle, but the stuff you get by the six pack for $5.99. That stuff is SOOO good!)

Anyway, back to my non-rant.

My daughter is Lactose Intollerant, so I'm always looking for good Sherbert and other non-lactose "ice cream treats". They had Blueberry Pomegranite Sherbert for a good price, and she loves those flavors, so I got a pint. Tried it to see what I thought, and it was sooooooo good. In fact, it was so creamy that I wondered how they could even make it that good. Turns out, it has milk in in. I caught it in time, no harm, no foul, but what a dissappointment, as she was looking forward to it.

On the bright side, that is about the worst thing I can say about TJ's, that their excellent product doesn't fit my daughter's special dietary needs....

There, I got that off my chest.

Sherbet often contains milk, sorbet is non-dairy and based on fruit juice. Sorbet is popular among those who are lactose intolerant, does Trader Joe's carry sorbet?

I love sorbets....I make them myself from time to time...mostly consist of pureed fruit, water, lemon juice and sugar.

Sherbets, while also good contain milk like the previous poster said and also contain egg whites also IIRC.

I don't think the OP should be ranting at Trader Joe's......all the sherbets I checked contain milk or daily products. None that I saw claim to be non-dairy, although all the sorbets I looked at were non-dairy.
