Wanted to add one more - Vietnamese beef brisket or chicken pho, from our favorite Vietnamese restaurant. I like to add a few chopped jalapeños in the soup when the weather is cold. Really hits the spot.

Love the winter comfort foods
Smelling up the whole house

From baked whole chickens to ham to
Beef pot roast

The old fashioned boiled dinner
I need to cook more of … the smoked picnics
And corned beef … that simmers on the stove for hours

Homemade soups
A few favorites: lentil vegetable, chicken pho, beef-vegetable and gluten-free grilled cheese dipped in tomato soup.

Hot teas and peppermint mochas

Winter makes me think of foods that cook, low and slow, in the oven. Like a brisket over carrots and onions.

Just got a breadmaker for Christmas. Looking forward to using it with Chili, Stews and Soups! But mac and cheese fits with winter bill as well!
