its amazing how people will post deceptive articles regarding the contents of food in chain restaurants and then the sheep will all comment about how terrible that place is and how disgusting the additive is. the original post is very dishonest. these people dont want us to trust corporations with regards to food, but why should we trust them if they think its ok to lie to us because their lies are for the "greater good."

Stupid, ain't it?
There's not a dang thing wrong with the food. I wish I had a giant sack of it right now.

i have no problem with people pointing out questionable products included in the food. the problem is that a lot of the stuff out there isnt even true. i saw an article recently regarding the same exact pink substance, but now the lie is a little different. here its "the pink substance that stretches their meat supply" and apprently the ammonium hydroxide is the substance. in the previous article, this stuff was all the inedible parts of chicken blended into goo and then soaked in a bath of ammonia. neither article was accurate.

I weep at the dearth of basic scientific knowledge in this country, shown by both the people who write stuff like this and the people who read it.

Comparing the ammonia gas this stuff is exposed to with "fertilizers, household cleaners and some roll-your-own explosives" is like saying water is harmful because it's an ingredient in ammonium hydroxide.

Read about the process: Pink slime - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Nothing about that stuff bothers me, but I'll eat just about anything but the brains. Offal is not awful to me.

Ehh I will pass as well..2 years ago driving back from Florida ate it, my body did not take kindly to it. Tried it again last year in a pinch, same result. Fast food pretty much all I will eat is pizza, hey I know that is cheese sauce and flour....and I go to one of the top pizza places in the country, in new Haven CT when I want pizza, or I make it myself.

Why does the meat from a burger from there look so different than when I make one myself? Even if I use the same thin amount, freeze it, and defrost it, and fry it, it just looks way different than a mcd's beef patty.

I don't know how much propaganda it was, and how it was so one sided, but that movie SuperSize me , where that guy ate nothing but mcd's for 3 meals a day for a month was interesting to watch. I don't think I could do it for 2 meals in a row.

Yet people love the stuff. So be it.

Once every 4 or 5 months I get a craving for a Big Mac. And once every 4 or 5 months, I get a craving for a fishwich.

Other than that, I don't eat at McD's or BK.

I went 30 years between McRibs. It was good, but I'll probably go another 30 until my next one.
