At Costco the pepperoni is so greasy it take four napkins to sop the grease off the pizza to make it edible. I no longer eat pepperoni. Yucky.
To judge pizza by the stuff they serve at COSTCO .... that stuff is miserable.
Last week, they pulled a pepperoni pizza from the oven that looked great. I ordered a piece. Instead of giving me a fresh pizza, I got a piece of greasy mess. (My error for asking them to wrap it to go.)
I had an idea to buy a frozen pizza at the supermarket not long ago (first time in a lonnnnnnnggg time) and was confronted by about 30' feet of freezer space filled with all kinds of different brands and sizes and types of pizzas... and they ALL had pepperoni on them!
Hmmm... I can find spinach and mushroom, all veggie, ham and pineapple, garlic chicken, barbeque, and ranch chicken pizza at my grocery store freezers. Maybe you need to move to this part of the country.

Yeah, same here - I can get any kind of weird variation I want - including different kinds of pepperoni! That said, I used to love it, but for health reasons don't eat it or want it anymore. My pizzas now are either veggie or a little ground meat + veggie.
Infact, stuff that. I eat the pepperoni without the bleedin' pizza dough. Pizza dough is just pure refined flour glutenous garbage... not even worthy of being fed to a pig. Mind you neither is the Pepperoni, unless pigs like cannibalism.

Obviously you are confused. It is the dough that makes it a pizza, not the pepperoni.

Yes, there was a section containing those, including smoked duck sausage, if I cared for such a thing. But there were 10 sections full of pepperoni, that's what makes no sense.
