It is not unusual to see bugs in grain products. Sometimes they can't get them all out. It's always a good idea to check first. You eat more of them than you realize. It's nothing to get hysterical (or use profanity) about.

Why would you buy strawberries and cream oatmeal just to open the package and take the strawberries out?
There are bugs in the flour you purchase as well and many other grain products, it is a part of the product and there are actually guidelines as to the percentage of bug parts allowed to remain in mass produced products.

Wow, that's crazy i had no idea. this was a shock to me and Ive never encountered a bug in my food before. I'm not an expert. Any normal person would be shocked and wouldn't expect to see bugs in their food.

I always freeze oatmeal,flour,rice,etc for 2 days solves the problem.
