Let's say, you have just won a cooking show contest and the first prize was an afternoon for you and 4 of your friends with any cooking show host. You will have the opportunity to have a cooking lesson, lunch or dinner with him or her and ask questions. Who would you choose? The person has to be alive and can be from any cooking show on TV.
I would take Sara Moulton first; I love her down to earth attitude and her cooking, while good isn't so over the top, most would not try it or have the skills to fix it.
Next would be Melissa, (spelling) on $10.00 meals. Again, she has good idea, about 3 or 4 of her recipes I use constantly and her cooking is simple enough for almost anyone.
If neither of them are available I would choose Anne Burrell: I think she would be a blast to have glass of wine with..
Alex Guarnaschelli.....next choice would be Martin Yan.
ok, tell me: who is Martin Yan? and what network? I keep forgetting about others and find myself watching the Food network, even though I say I won't watch it anymore and so much of it is repeat....
Ina Garten. Every recipe that I have tried of hers has turned out great. Since I spend Saturday morning watching the Food Network cooking shows, I would say that Trisha Yearwood is another one who I would enjoy cooking with. She seems very down to earth and a lot of fun. Again, when I have tried some of her recipes, they always turn out great.
Martin Yan - he had the show, "Yan Can Cook"! Superb Chinese chef - he taught me a lot.
As I was thinking outside moments ago, I still regret not answering with, "Graham Kerr"!
Superb chef and wonderful personality that he has! Top notch!
Quote from Martin Yan: "Hot wok, cold oil - food won't stick". Essential advice!
His name sounded Asian. I would love to watch someone who could help me with my Chinese cooking. I do it a lot, love it but I think I am just not quite getting the total hang of it.
