I try to avoid anything with Transfats...but that's tough to do.
No fake cheese, no sushi or any other "raw" meats. No organ meats!! No aspartame or other artificial sweetener. It's either sugar or Stevia. We buy very little processed foods. This means a considerably longer time spent in the kitchen for meal prep, per week, but it also means that my family is eating much healthier.
Other than that, we pretty much use everything else in moderation.
Coffee
Butter
White bread
Fresh onions
Mustard
Mushrooms (unless you count the shape of my cookie jar)
Clam juice
Mangoes
Chives
Garlic
Dairy butter
Milk (except almond and rice milk)
Peppers
Margarine: I gave it one more try about a month ago: never again.
Tabasco sauce: we love hot sauce but not tabasco.
Artichokes, unless they are the marinated kind. We are accustom to CA, fresh artichokes and what we get in the Midwest are tasteless.
White cheap bread: it has to be quality or we don't want it. That is one of my few splurges
store purchased jelly or jam. I like the homemade kind, the same with Salsa. We haven't bought any for maybe 10 years.
