Tonght's dinner is turkey (shocker, I know) with stuffing (made with homemade herb bread), mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans and cranberry sauce. Dessert is pumpkin cake.

I'm about to go shove the bird into the oven, after I finish this cup of coffee. That sucker is 22 pounds!

I got my bird in at 10 am which was 17 lbs, doing it the Alton Brown Method.

I discovered I didn't have enough coffee for tomorrow, so I ran to Fred Meyer about 10 this morning. It wasn't bad at all. If you have to wait till after work tho, that might be a problem.

Turkey breast, just finished making an herb butter, with fresh herbs from the garden, to rub under and over the skin and about to pop it in the oven. Mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, green beans, rolls, cranberry sauce. Apple pie for dessert.

A medium-prepared rib-eye steak, baked potatoes and a hearty serving of steamed baby spinach with broccoli leaves.

On the groaning board (gold star for anyone who knows what that is without googling it!) at friends' house:
Turkey (duh.) Pork ribs dry-rubbed and barbequed, yes in the snow. Roasted root vegetables. Sweet potatoes with spicy sausage and greens. Stuffing. Turkey gravy. Green beans. Green salad. Apple salad with walnuts. Pineapple fluff. Pumpkin pie. Cheesecake made with ricotta instead of cream cheese. Banana bread.
I'm not going to eat for another week LOL.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!
