Do you remember the first meal you ever cooked and what was the occasion or was there one? How did it turn out?

My very first was at the age of about 10 or 11. Mom agreed to let me fix dinner, from start to finish once a week. I was in 7th heaver. I fried, over fried hamburger patties. I made lettuce wrap up with nothing in it buy mayo and mashed potatoes. They actually turned out pretty decent if I remember. it wasn't long before the fixing a meal once a week disappeared for a few years.

Hmmm... I think it might have been an Austrian Pancake when I was 11. That's when the school still had home ec (it's crazy that it was 14 years ago), so it was in Middle School and easy, haha.

I didn't start cooking until I got married. I have no idea what I prepared first, but I can tell you that my husband is a very patient and tolerant man.

Eggs, spam and rice. Not sure how young I was, but I had to use a chair to reach the stove and sink.

sounds like you were pretty darn young. I have always loved to cook, got it from my father (not mom) and couldn't wait to get turned lose in the kitchen. After my first, not so great attempt I switched to just helping til I got much older.

I honestly don't remember. From the time I was little, if I didn't like something my mother cooked for supper, she'd tell me to make something by myself, for myself. I remember making beef hash with corn and French fries when I was as young as 7.

I had a home economics class and a take home assignment was to cook a meal, but I remember my Dad greatly assisting with the process. I remember one time trying to make chicken and broccoli for my Dad but it was an utter failure. I overcooked the chicken breasts and broccoli.

I never cooked an entire meal when I was a kid. I was too busy out in the barn before dinner.
I do remember making chocolate chip cookies, and muffins for 4-H under the tutelage of my aunt, the Foods Leader.
I didn't start cooking meals until I was married. And that was a loooong time ago! I wonder what I made....
