Now thats a person after my own heart. I have never seen green beans at any local supemarket or warehouse . Is that Whole Foods your getting them from?
Market District (the upscale Giant Eagle brand here in Pittsburgh). They don't advertise or display the green. But they roast in-store on an air roaster, so I asked if they sold green and they said yes. I imagine one could do the same at most supermarkets that roast in-store.

I buy a 120 cup bag of Dunkin Donuts coffee from BJ's Wholesale Club for $14.99 once every 45-60 days (keeping it fresh by storing it in the fridge). So much less expensive than the single serving coffees.
I used to have the single serve maker on my counter, but we'd go through a box of 12 in about 2 weeks - and we only drink coffee at home on the weekends. It just got to be too expensive for us.
We usually buy a 2 or 3 lb can from Sam's and buy a small bag of flavored which we enjoy on weekends, from Aldi's. But my guess and I haven't checked that 3 lb can may not be quite 3 lbs. I am just accustom to everything being downsized anymore except my weight.

Freezing or refrigerating is actually not good for coffee. You are loosing a lot of the flavor doing that.
The coffee I most recently bought was a 27 oz container. Just a store brand pre-ground can. I tend to buy one of these every 6-8 weeks. I love buying beans by the pound and grinding them fresh for each cup too.
Costco here as well - 2 lb.s of Kirkland Columbian or Guatamalan for about $10.
