I envy the guy. I could eat nothing but regular tomato and cheese thin-crust pizza and be happy too, but unlike many of you guys, disagree with your health assessments, believing that such a regimen is not healthy.

The man may very well be afraid of different foods. I am curious if he lives a sheltered type lifestyle, i.e. not having many novel experiences, or maybe his affliction only has to do with food. Either way, it is his life/choices, that he has to contend with or thrive because of.

It sounds "crazy" because it's pizza but I would guess a lot of people, maybe most people, eat a pretty monotonous diet.
Nutritionally, I doubt it's much different than what my parents eat on a regular basis: breakfast cereal, toast, sandwiches, lasagna or burgers. It's probably healthier since he's never eating stuff like donuts or dessert.

Apparently he eats no fruits or vegetables. A diet without fruits and vegetables is very unhealthy. In a couple of decades, or a lot sooner, he could have some very serious health problems from not eating enough roughage. Then again, he may not have those health problems; only time will tell. If he does have those health problems, he will look back at how he bragged about all the money he was saving and say to himself, "what the hell was I thinking?" Moral of the story: money can't buy good health.

I'm pretty sure 25 years is enough to know, it doesn't get more long term than that, as that is about 35% of the mans life. He eats other stuff as his woman tries to ween him off of pizza only.

As much as I love pizza, I would very quickly get bored eating a pizza-only diet. But, if he's content, then good for him.

I do agree that healthwise, it's not optimal. Hopefully, he will branch out and add other foods into his diet.

I've been practically living on ramen noodles and beer the last couple of weeks.

The article mentions that he has the occasional bowl of Raisin Bran and eats what is available at wedding receptions if pizza is not offered.

Maybe more of his friends should get married.
