I think that drinking a glass of cow milk with a meal is not as popular as it once was.
From reading a lot of posts here, it seems to me like people in the Midwest drink more milk compared to the rest of the country. I just don't see people here in the South drinking it that much (except for cereal of course).

Not necessarily. We don't live in the Midwest. Just because one or the other in our household doesn't drink milk very often, doesn't mean that there isn't a jug of "cow's" milk in the refrigerator. I
like it for hot chocolate, puddings, scrambled eggs (by itself, omelettes, French Toast, etc).

There's always a jug of milk in my fridge too, but I never actually pour it into a glass and drink it. It's used for recipes and cereal.

From what I've seen, the midwesterners (at least around here) won't touch whole milk- it's always 1% or 2% low-fat... and even worse, low-fat chocolate milk!! Bleagh!!

I won't touch whole milk either, it's too thick and yellowish looking. It's fat free or 1% for me.
