It's not barbeque without sauce. Forget what they say in KC about rubs and the quality of the meat and all that nonsense. BBQ needs sauce.

I like beans in chili, but will skip dark red kidney beans. I usually use black beans, red beans, pintos, or (usually) some combo thereof. Dark red kidney beans are too chalky and mealy for me. I will use light red in a pinch.

It's not a burger if it has no bun. My dad puts burger patties between slices of bread all the time. What a waste of time.

I agree...don't care for the dark kidney beans at all. Much prefer black or pinto beans (or like you said, a combination is good too!).
