I've never tried fresh tarragon - maybe it tastes better than the dried.
I can't stand dried thyme either - it tastes like gasoline, but I love fresh thyme.

Lol you haven't lived until you've tried dried tarragon on.....carrots. Yup. Plain sliced carrots (even canned), a little butter, and tarragon.Delicious!

I also get a funny taste with dried thyme. It's only fresh for me too. The only reason why I don't like tarragon by itself is because it tastes too much like licorice to me. I can't eat fennel either for that reason. Or Italian sausage.

I love tarragon. I use it with chicken, pasta salads, fish. I grow french tarragon and it's my favorite herb.

No, I just leave it in the herb garden. I do nothing(I am a lazy gardener) special for it. In fact after that crazy, record breaking for snow and cold temperatures winter we just had here it is booming. I have the same plants I put in when we moved here five years ago.
